Our hotel is situated on the famous Royal Troon Golf Course, enjoying breathtaking views of the Isle of Arran. We are only moments away from beautiful sandy beaches, and also close to Fullarton woods, providing perfect photograph locations. We are only five minutes away from Glasgow Prestwick International Airport and only forty minutes away from Glasgow, making travel easy for your guests. We have 89 bedrooms including deluxe rooms and suites, as well as a fabulous health club, with a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and an extensive techno gym.

With Wedding Packages to suit a range of budgets, our staff are experienced at ensuring you have everything you need to create the Wedding Reception of your dreams. Our event co-ordinator will work with you to ensure that everything runs smoothly in the run-up to your big day.

We’re licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies, and civil partnerships granted by the County Council, for up to 120 guests. If you plan to hold your civil ceremony here, you’ll need to contact
the Registrar directly to arrange your desired date. You can book your Registrar up to a year ahead: it’s worth remembering that most couples book their room here at least six months in advance.

As part of our venue offering, we guarantee that we only ever host one wedding a day. However, hotel bedrooms, smaller function suites and public areas may still be acquired by other guests not with your wedding party. Evening Reception

Our after dark wedding reception option caters for your evening guests should you enjoy your wedding ceremony home or away. Let us create a magical evening for you both to celebrate with your friends and family. An individual quote will be created based on your numbers and what catering option you are looking for, whether this be a sit down meal or a buffet selection.

Our hotel is also perfect for family parties, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and naming ceremonies, engagement parties and renewing of vows. Guests also enjoy romantic weekend breaks, golf and spa breaks and we also book corporate events and functions. We have a range of event facilities with different sized suites for different functions. Many of our guests return again and again to enjoy the comfortable surroundings of The Marine Hotel, whether they are celebrating or simply wish to get away from it all and relax in pleasant surroundings.

The Hotel

Our 4-star hotel accommodation will provide your wedding guests with a comfortable overnight stay, whether they need a single room, twin room, double room, or are looking for the luxury of a suite with separate living room. Single individuals, couples and family groups can all be accommodated in our exquisite rooms. Guests are also able to request a sea view if that is their preference. In total we have 89 bedrooms available to host you and your guests for the duration of your wedding. We offer a minimum discount of 15% to wedding guests, subject to availability.

We have three beautiful function rooms, so you can hold your ceremony and reception here at the hotel. The Portland Suite boasts a conservatory bar ideal for drinks receptions and The Gailes Suite enjoys wonderful views over the Portland Golf Course.

We have a leisure club and spa, giving guests the chance to exercise and relax as they prefer. Our swimming pool offers unique views across the Firth of Clyde. For those wanting to enjoy the great outdoors, the neighbouring Royal Troon Golf Club offers a chance to take some exercise, practice the golf swing and enjoy the scenery, including views across to the Isle of Arran.

Eating and Dinning

Dining facilities at the hotel are excellent, with our Truin Restaurant providing a refined yet modern dining experience with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. Our menu includes seasonal seafood and game dishes that aim to celebrate our Scottish identity. You may select from a range of dishes for your wedding breakfast, offering your guests the finest locally-sourced cuisine.

As any of our Chefs will attest, the basis of all good food is mouth watering ingredients, so we always buy fresh, and we buy local wherever possible. Whether you’re looking for a buffet or a banquet, our Chef’s selected menus offer you a superb choice of dishes, ranging from Scottish and Continental classics to innovations from the frontiers of contemporary cuisine.
If you have particular favourites, requests or dietary requirements, you can ask Chef to create a bespoke menu for you (please note this may involve an additional charge). For complete exibility, you can also make individual choices from our buffet and canapé menus. Prepared with skill and artistry, and served by our discreet but attentive waiting team, our food will be one of the highlights of your wedding, and give you plenty of moments to savour.

You will also want to make a selection of a red and white wine from our list of fine wines and choose a Champagne or Prosecco to enable your guests to lift a glass and toast the happy couple. We have an extensive range of ales, beers, ciders, wines and spirits behind the bar, enabling your guests to continue the celebrations beyond the wedding breakfast and into the evening.

If your wedding guests wish to extend their stay and enjoy more of the hotel’s facilities, we also offer drinking and dining in the Arran Bar, where gorgeous North Ayrshire coastal views are served up with your lunch or afternoon tea.

What happens at a civil ceremony?
A civil ceremony is a non-religious ceremony, conducted by the Registrar from Ayr Registry Office.
Can we book the civil ceremony with you?
No – you need to contact the Registrar yourselves to arrange your desired date. The number for our local Registrars’ office is 01292 617617.
What time does the bar close?
The bar will stay open until 12.30am for non-residents.
How many people can sit at each table?
The round tables in our function rooms seat up to 10 guests.
What is a wedding breakfast?
It’s the first meal that you share together as husband and wife – and by tradition it’s called ‘breakfast’ whatever time of day it is!
What shape and size is your cake stand?
We have round and square cake stands.
How many people should we cater for in the evening?
Your reception package will include all your evening guests.
